Odds to Win 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Updated Mon, Feb. 1, 3:45 PM ET - Odds Provided by FanDuel - Subject to Change.
Where to Bet: Colorado Illinois Indiana Michigan New Jersey Pennsylvania All States.
How To Bet Golf Futures.
The “Odds to Win” wager in golf is very simple to understand. Put simply, you just need to select the golfer that will capture the victory. Select any of the golfers in the tournament and your payout for the bet will depend on the odds given at the time of the wager. Plus, you can bet online with legal US sportsbooks up until the event begins. There may even be some in-game wagers.
To figure out your Win Amount, take the odds and multiply by the amount wagered. Ex. Jason Day (10/1) - Jason Day is listed as a 10/1 betting choice. If you wager $100 on Day to win the event and he comes in first, then you would win $1,000 (5 Г· 2 x 100). You would collect $1,100, which includes your win and stake ($100).
What does the FIELD mean? Many golf tournaments will include a betting selection called the Field. This bet consists of all golfers not listed in the “Odds to Win.” Most races have a set number of golfers but it’s rare to see oddsmakers put a price on every golfer that will tee off. Golfers that are given the least opportunity to win the tournament will be grouped into the “Field” odds and paid out accordingly if they win.

At long last, the PGA Tour returns to Augusta National Golf Club this week for the 2020 Masters Tournament . Now the final major and third-to-last full-status tournament of 2020, the event was postponed from mid-April due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A field of 92 will compete for the green jacket. Below, we look at the 2020 Masters betting odds, and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions to win.
The 2021 Masters will return to its usual spot on the Tour schedule and is set for April 8-11.

Cantlay will enter his third career Masters as a professional off a win at the Zozo Championship against a start-studded, 78-man field. He tied for ninth last year following a missed cut in 2018. He was also the low amateur in 2012, finishing T-47.
His recent victory pushed him to ninth in the Golfweek/Sagarin world rankings. He’s now a three-time PGA Tour winner since 2017 with one other playoff loss. He excels around the greens and averaged 0.93 Strokes Gained: Putting per round at the Zozo, according to Data Golf.
Masters Betting Promotion.
Bet $1 on ANY golfer to win the 2020 Masters Tournament, WIN $100 (in free bets) if any golfer makes a birdie. Place your legal, online golf bets in CO, IN, NJ, TN and WV at BetMGM, The King of Sportsbooks .

2020 Masters Tournament b etting picks – Contender.
Im is one of 22 Masters invitees who made the cut at the Vivint Houston Open, but he finished just T-50 at plus-3. While it’s an uninspiring performance just a week out, he was able to average 0.80 SG: Putting for the tournament.
His odds are inflated from his usual standard as he’ll be making his pro debut at Augusta National and no one has won here in their first visit since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979. Im got his first PGA Tour win at The Honda Classic earlier this year and is a great value bet.
Tiger Woods Betting Promotion.
Bet $1 on Tiger Woods to win the 2020 Masters Tournament, WIN $100 (in free bets) if Tiger makes a birdie . Place your legal, online golf bets in CO, IN, NJ, TN and WV at BetMGM, The King of Sportsbooks .

2020 Masters Tournament b etting picks – Long shot.
Hadwin is the right combination of experience and current abilities in this long-shot tier. He has played the Masters twice, finishing T-36 in 2017 and T-24 in 2018, and he enters the week ranked 33rd in the Golfweek rankings.
He has just one career PGA Tour win to date – the 2017 Valspar Championship – but he has long been great around and on the greens. His best finish since the Tour’s mid-June restart was a T-4 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic after recording two runner-ups and three other tops 10 finishes in 2019.

2020 Masters odds: Surprising PGA picks, predictions from same model that nailed six majors.
SportsLine simulated the 2020 Masters 10,000 times and came up with a surprising leaderboard.
One of the overlooked players heading into the 2020 Masters is Australia's Adam Scott. The 40-year-old has won 14 times on the PGA Tour, but no victory was more impactful than his playoff win at the 2013 Masters. Scott has played well in 2020, winning the Genesis Invitational to break a four-year winless drought. But does he have what it takes to conquer Augusta National again when the first 2020 Masters tee times begin on Thursday at 7 a.m. ET?
Scott will go off as a 40-1 longshot in the 2020 Masters odds at William Hill Sportsbook. Bryson DeChambeau, who has been bashing drives to little-seen portions of Augusta National during practice rounds, is the tournament favorite at 8-1. Before locking in your 2020 Masters picks or entering any PGA DFS tournaments on sites like DraftKings and FanDuel, be sure to see the latest 2020 Masters predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine.
SportsLine's prediction model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been on fire since the return of the PGA Tour in June. In fact, it's up over $11,000 on its PGA best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.
In all, the advanced computer model has also nailed a whopping six majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed its golf picks has seen massive returns.
Now that the 2020 Masters field is locked, SportsLine simulated the event 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.
The model's top 2020 Masters predictions.
One huge shocker the model is calling for at the Masters 2020: DeChambeau, the defending U.S. Open champion and top favorite at William Hill, stumbles and barely cracks the top 10. DeChambeau proved his style of play can lead to a major championship title, winning the first major of his career in convincing fashion at Winged Foot in September. However, DeChambuau has struggled at Augusta National, finishing outside the top 25 in his last two starts at the Masters.
DeChambeau has also finished 30th or worse in four of his last eight starts on the PGA Tour, and his inconsistent performances can be directly attributed to his inability to find the fairway off the tee. The 27-year-old enters the 2020 Masters Tournament with a 52.68 driving accuracy percentage, which ranks 205th on the PGA Tour. He also ranks 131st or worse in total putting (251.8), putting average (1.748) and one-putt percentage (36.81), which doesn't bode well for his chances to finish on top of the 2020 Masters leaderboard at Augusta National. He's not a strong pick to win it all and there are far better values in the Masters Tournament 2020 field.
Another surprise: Patrick Cantlay, a massive 25-1 long shot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he's one of the 2020 Masters picks and sleepers you should be all over.
The 28-year-old would love nothing more than making his fourth PGA Tour victory a Masters championship. Cantlay enters Masters week in fine form after winning the Zozo Championship in October.
The former No. 1 amateur player in the world also knows Augusta National well, earning low amateur honors in 2012 and finishing ninth at the 2019 Masters. This could be Cantlay's breakthrough week on the major championship stage, which is why you should consider him for your 2020 Masters bets, according to the model.
How to make 2020 Masters picks.
Also, the model is targeting three other golfers with odds of 25-1 or higher to make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these underdogs could hit it big. You can only see them here.
So who will win Masters 2020? And which long shots stun the golfing world? Check out the odds below and then visit SportsLine to see the projected 2020 Masters leaderboard, all from the model that's nailed six golf majors and is up over $11,000 since the restart to find out.

п»їAthletes From All Over The World Get Naked In Front Of The Camera For Charity, And The Pictures Will Make Your Heart Race.
Boxers, ballerinas, and basketball players are all among the 18 incredibly fit participants that agreed to take off their clothes for a good cause.
Photographer and former biathlete Dominika Cuda was the one who came up with the idea for the project that took one year to complete. Unlike most calendars, includes more than just 12 pictures. Instead of just giving each athlete a separate month, the author of the idea created a 300-page personal sport planner that will allow the person to track their training progress, sleeping patterns and nutritional plans all whilst admiring the beautifully captured bodies.
The planners are available in all-male and all-female versions, depending on the preference, for about $36. This calendar benefits One Year Fund, a charity that supports underfunded young athletes by raising money for footwear, clothing and equipment they need. Cuda, who struggled to find funding when she was an athlete herself, is now exited to help the younger generation to pursue their dreams.
Scroll down to see the awe-inspiring pictures, check out the One Year Fund page to get your own copy, and, if you’re an athlete who feels inspired by this project, make sure to contact the author of the pictures – she would be more than happy to consider you to be the model for her next year’s calendar.

Top 10 Hottest Sports Personalities Who Posed for Playboy.
Hugh Hefner is one hell of a man. He has literally built a respectable sized empire off of getting women to remove their clothes. On top of that, he lives in a mansion with an ever changing set of gor.
Hugh Hefner is one hell of a man. He has literally built a respectable sized empire off of getting women to remove their clothes. On top of that, he lives in a mansion with an ever changing set of gorgeous women. I have so much admiration for this man that there won’t even be any Viagra/old age jokes. He was even honored at one of the first New York Friars’ Club roasts to be broadcast on television.
Heff started off his career at a time when it was in no way socially acceptable to publish a magazine that contained nudity, but because it offered a product that men wanted all the time (don’t hit up the comments section and deny it, lads, you want it all the time), it became a massive hit and is successful to this day. He and Larry Flynt were true trailblazers not only for the pornography business, but also for freedom of expression and art. Not only that, their contributions to society stand as a glorious and unavoidable middle finger to all things uptight and puritanical.
To follow is a list of the top 10 sexiest female sports personalities that have posed for Playboy. We've used the term sports personalities as opposed to athletes because in order to have the freedom to include women involved with sports, but not exclusively athletes, and mostly just for the three gorgeous ladies who as a group, occupy the number one spot. This list is somewhat subjective, so look up others (there are over 20 more athletes/women involved with sports who have posed for the magazine) and “educate” us in the comments section. If any of my family are reading this, you sent me to Catholic school and this is an example of me rebelling against every aspect of the experience.
Side note: Heff has yet to respond to my list of requests for the 2014 Winter Olympics edition of Playboy, but it includes the three Canadian sisters who participated in moguls. But they all seem like sweethearts, so it makes me feel guilty to even write this as a joke. Other than that, Jamie Anderson (USA Snowboarder) and Silje Norendal (Norway Snowboarder) and a couple of the Austrians. Damn it, Hefner, you’ve ruined me!
10 Anita Marks – Football: 2002.
These days Anita Marks is a radio personality and sideline reporter for football. She has worked for radio stations in Baltimore and the New York area and has covered both the United Football league and the NFL. She currently works for WFAN in New York along with a few other radio stations and is a regular for Giants pre-game shows. Prior to her broadcasting career, she was a women’s football quarterback who played for the Miami Fury and the Florida stingrays from 2000 to 2004. She’s also pretty hot. She posed for Playboy in 2002 and it was simply great.
9 Torrie Wilson and Sable – WWE: 1999, 2003 and 2004 (Between the 2 of them)
8 Katarina Witt – Figure Skating: 1998.
This two-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time world champion posed naked for Playboy, which was pretty awesome. Interesting little fact: she posed at 33 years old. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by this but, athletes age really well. In her photo-shoot, she said that part of her goal was to shed the image of the cute ice princess that figure skaters usually have. Goal completed.
7 Ineta Radevica – Track and Field: 2004.
Ever hear the quote "legs till Monday?" Radevica posed before the 2004 Summer Olympics during which she placed 13th in triple jump and 20th in long jump. I’m not concerned with her performance in sport at this point because she is one fantastic looking woman, and in an article like this, that’s what counts. The Latvian never won medals in World Championships or the Olympics but while at the University of Nebraska she won two NCAA Championships. I’ve never said this before in my life but GO CORNHUSKERS!
6 Katharina Scholz – Field Hockey: 2008.
There was an old commercial, for some product I can't remember, featuring a guy playing field hockey with a bunch of women and being roughed up. I can also remember thinking that it looks like a fun time. But enough about my sadomasochism. Scholz was a member of the 2008 German Olympic field hockey team. In that same year she posed for Playboy and if I had seen it back then, I would have cheered for Germany.
5 Christy Hemme – WWE: 2005.
This is a stranger entry as Christy Hemme needed to ask her father for permission to pose for Playboy. Pops was a slight roadblock for Christy before she posed for Playboy. Nonetheless, the WWE star got it done and again, I can’t say a bad thing about it, and if you’re a heterosexual male, you probably agree. She’s a model, former wrestler, former wrestling manager, singer in more than one band and currently works as a ring announcer and interviewer. For the purposes of this article however, Christy Hemme is a gorgeous babe without clothes. God bless America!
4 Haley Cope – Swimming: 2004.
She’s an Olympic medalist, having won silver in 2004, a multiple time world champion and at one point she was the world record holder for the best 50 meter backstroke. She won all her medals throughout the early 2000’s, participating in both long course and short course swimming events. Her Playboy appearance was in the same year as her Olympic medal, and after that she retired from competing, opting instead for a career as a coach; operating her own swimming school.
3 Maria Kanellis – WWE: 2008.
This woman is ridiculously good looking in addition to being multi-talented. Interesting how those two can go together. She was a WWE wrestler for years and has also wrestled with a number of other promotions. She also released an album, but it didn’t do so well, so the jury is still out on whether her “multi-talented” label can include singing. She has however, had some success acting in various small roles and in a couple of appearances on reality TV shows. She was originally against the idea of posing for Pl+ayboy, due to pressures from her family, but in 2008, she did it. Thank God.
2 Ashley Harkleroad – Tennis: 2008.
Oh Ashley Harkleroad, the first professional tennis player to ever pose for Playboy. It’s interesting that Jennifer Capriati dated a male adult entertainer, Dale Dabone, for years but never tried out the business. On the other hand it’s devastating that Maria Sharapova and Anna Kournikova never decided to get in touch with Mr. Hefner. In terms of her tennis career, however, she was never among the top players in any way other than looks. She said in an interview that Amanda Beard’s Playboy appearance was an inspiration to do her own. After the 2008 French Open, she announced the decision and after seeing the results, I think you’ll agree with me that it was a good one.

Something New.
Top 15 Athletes You Didn't Know Did Adult Entertainment.
Sports and the adult entertainment industry have always crossed paths. Both promote showing physical attributes that the human body can endure. Both need superstars to help make their brands popular.
Sports and the adult entertainment industry have always crossed paths. Both promote showing physical attributes that the human body can endure. Both need superstars to help make their brands popular. Both are embedded into American pop culture, especially when you find an athlete engaging with an adult film star. The internet has almost crashed because of some incidences involving both occupations. It makes sense that some athletes would jump to the adult industry and vice versa.
After rinsing out my eyes, I finally compiled a list of professional athletes that you didn’t know had connections to the adult entertainment industry. I’ve banned a few companies that athletes have posed naked for because they don’t make my qualifications. For instance, the ESPN’s Body Magazine issue is all about sex and athletes. It would be too easy for me to make a list using that publication, plus they don’t show the nitty gritty of the body. Athletes who posed for Playboy are off the list as well. Yes, I could’ve put boxer Mia Saint John or Anita Marks on the list but I didn’t. Same

п»їHow to Read Betting Odds.
If you’re new to the world of sports betting, one of the first things you’ll need to do is figure out how betting odds work. At a quick glance, betting odds can be quite intimidating to first-time bettors, and you may find yourself asking “how do betting odds work?” That’s where Compare.bet can help; we’ve taken it back to the basics to explain betting odds and how they work.
Odds Converter.
What are betting odds?
The first step to understanding betting odds is appreciating what they do. Betting odds simply indicate the likelihood of an event and the return you’d get if you did make a wager on the result. Betting odds may be displayed in three different formats at US sportsbooks and online and mobile sports betting platforms: American odds, fractional odds and decimal odds. Different formats don’t mean different odds; it’s simply a different way of presenting them. This isn’t as complicated as it might sound and, by the time you’ve read our guide to betting odds, you’ll be an expert.
American odds.
Let’s consider a real-world example to understand how American odds work in action:

Tuesdays Soccer – By Chris.
Milan - Celtic 2.70 - 1.91 - 7.00 Whatever the coaches are saying in their pre match talk, I take it for granted that this game will end in a draw (1.91). There is too much at stake and no need to complicate things. Milan will leave for cup games in Japan immediately after this fixture and their players will appreciate " a non competitive affair" with Celtic.
The Milan coach Ancelotti said in La Gazetta that he will use his strongest squad while Celtic will be without both J Kennedy and L Naylor, the defenders that played from the start against Shaktar last week. S Pressley and O'Dea will come in instead. Still no Nakamura.
Last season, when Milan won the Champions League, they failed to beat Celtic in normal time at San Siro (0-0). Their winner coming in extra time. Another draw tomorrow. (1.91)
Shaktar Donetsk - Benfica 1.73 - 5.60 Shaktar never looked like losing away to Celtic last week, dominating the first half only to see Celtic score a last minute equaliser. Incredibly enough Celtic also found the winner in the last minute of the second half. Typical Celtic home win. Shaktar need to win this match and Celtic have to lose in Milano. Not very likely but if it should happen and Shaktar will do their job, the play offs await. Shaktar will be boosted by the return of the very important Fernandinho to the squad.
Benfica lost the big domestic game 0-1 vs. Porto at the weekend. They could not really afford to lose with Porto now 7 points ahead of Benfica. I doubt if the Benfica players can dig deep and find motivation enough for this game. By beating Shaktar they will qualify for the UEFA Cup. Winning against Porto would have tasted better.
Anyway, Benfica will be without their winger C Rodriguez and Binya remain suspended. Winter in Ukraine - certainly not a help for Benfica. Likely home win but uninteresting odds! (1.73).
Bristol City - Ipswich 2.35 - 3.10 I like to think that the Bristol players are desperate for revenge tomorrow (2.35). Only a few weeks ago they went to Ipswich and suffered a humiliating 0-6 defeat. Bristol have been through a shaky patch but returned to winning ways at the weekend, beating Watford 2-1. D Byfield, C Skuse and L Trundle were all substitutes in the Watford fixture but they are pushing for starting roles tomorrow. J McAllister returns from his suspension. All is well for B City ahead of this game.
Ipswich will travel with the same 18 man squad that drew 0-0 with Barnsley at the weekend. First point loss at home for Ipswich. Away from home Ipswich are 0-4-5! Home win for B City (2.35).
Norwich - Plymouth 2.65 - 2.75 Much better football by Norwich since G Roeder took charge of the club. OK, they lost away to Stoke at the weekend, but before that they had two straight wins. J Otsemobor and L Chadwick should be back into contention tomorrow and there is also a chance that we will see C Evans, the young M City striker from the start and he is said to be something special. D Dublin, J Cureton and C Evans - two from these three will start.
Plymouth will be without their winger L Martin. Revenge is the name of the game in this fixture as Plymouth won their home game vs Norwich 3-0. That was the first game for Roeder. Home win for an improving Norwich side. (2.65)
Burnley - Leicester 2.10 - 3.75 It has been an incredible last seven days for Burnley. They won both their tricky away games at Watford and Charlton, 2-1 and 3-1.Talk about new coach effect! Andy Gray is leading their offensive line as always and Burnley will be unchanged tomorrow.
Leicester will be without DJ Campbell, M Fryatt, C John, E Hammond, J Wesolowski and J Chambers. The first four are all strikers and that makes you realise the problems that coach Holloway is facing up front. C Cort is not 100% fit, but he has to play, joining I Hume. Burnley to win! (2.10)
Barnsley - Wolves 2.80 - 2.50 Tricky game of course but I cannot understand why Wolves are considered favourites. Barnsley are 6-2-1 at home and they have not lost there since August. A few days ago Barnsley became the first club to pick up a point at Portman Road vs. Ipswich. Important duo B Howard and J Campbell-Ryce return for this match.
Wolves are set to field an unchanged squad. It looks like J Craddock will have to wait till Saturday for his come back. Wolves are extremely tight defensively at the moment and they have for example won their last 3 home games, all 1-0, including their home fixture against this Barnsley side. Barnsley will be my call here. (2.80)
Southampton lost their 7th defender to an injury at the weekend. P Ifil was the victim this time and he is out of the match vs. Sheffield Wednesday. Viafara and N Dyer are major injury doubts and could be that Wednesday have a decent chance of overcoming Southampton tomorrow. The odds on the away win are 3.75!

п»їEverything DeVonta Smith said after winning Heisman.
Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith was awarded the Heisman Trophy during a virtual ceremony televised by ESPN on Tuesday night. Smith made history in the process, becoming the first receiver to win college football’s most prestigious award since Desmond Howard at Michigan in 1991.
Smith, a senior whose freshman season was capped by him catching the game-winning touchdown in overtime of the 2017 title game vs. Georgia, put up historic numbers in 2020. He enters next week’s finale leading the FBS in catches, receiving yards and touchdown receptions. He has 105 catches for 1,641 yards and 20 touchdowns. The touchdown totals are tied with LSU’s Ja'Marr Chase , last year’s Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation’s best receiver. Chase played in 15 games in 2019, while Smith has played 12.
The Crimson Tide wideout won by a wide margin with 447 first-place votes and 1,856 total points, finishing nearly 700 points clear of second place.
The Alabama receiver has eight games this season with at least 100 receiving yards, including two with more than 200 yards. Smith has also had at least one scoring reception in nine of his team’s 12 games this season, including seven multi-touchdown contests.
In Alabama’s biggest two games to date, Smith has been at his best. In the Tide’s 52-46 win over Florida in the SEC Championship Game, Smith caught a season-high 15 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns. And in Alabama’s semifinal win over Notre Dame, he had seven receptions for 130 yards and three touchdowns.
In his career at Alabama, Smith has posted 223 catches for 3,750 yards and 43 touchdowns. Despite sharing the field with a pair of future first-round picks — Henry Ruggs and Jerry Jeudy — at receiver last season for Alabama, Smith still managed 68 receptions, 1,256 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2019.
Scroll up to see Smith's comments after winning the Heisman.
“First off I would like to thank God. Without him none of this would be possible. I congratulate all the finalists. Just to be in this situation with you guys, y’all are great athletes, and just to be a part of something like this is truly a blessing.
“I want to thank my family, my mom, my dad, just everything that y’all taught me and molded me into the man I am today. I want to think my mentor Vincent Sanders. Without you I wouldn’t be where I am today. Just the rides and taking me places I want to visit, just doing things and helping me get to where I am.
“I want to thank Coach Saban for giving me the opportunity to come play at the University of Alabama. I want to thank Coach Wiggins, my receivers coach just for helping me day in and day out, watching film and making me a better player.
“I think my teammates. With team success comes individual success, so without y’all I wouldn’t be where I am today winning this award. And to all the young kids out there that’s not the biggest, not the strongest, just keep pushing. Because I’m not the biggest, I’ve been doubted a lot just because of my size. And really it just comes down to you put your mind to it you can do it. No job is too big. If you put your mind to it you can do it, just believe in God and you’ll get where you want to be.
“I would like to thank Jeff Allen and the athletic training staff here for giving me all the resources to continue playing this game, for keeping me healthy so I can get out there and do the things that I like to do. I thank our president Dr. Bell and our athletic director Mr. Byrne just for being here and making everything possible with COVID going on and giving us a chance to play this season. Thank you. Roll Tide.”
Once the announcement was read, ESPN’s Chris Fowler asked Smith about being doubted about size.
“It’s just unbelievable. Just coming from a small place like that. You really just have to work day in and day out and just believe in yourself. If don’t nobody else believe you, you have to believe in yourself and just prove everybody wrong.”
Fowler also asked Smith how the star-studded receivers that came before him at Alabama helped Smith along the way.
“It’s just a family. When you got here everybody was on the same mission to become the best player they can be. And everybody helped each other in a different way. And just being around those guys they talked to me so much, just from things on the field and off the field, they just guided me to where I am today. And I’m so thankful for them.”
Fowler concluded the interview by asking Smith what the community following in his hometown of Amite, La., has meant to him.
“It means a lot. Some of those people have seen me since I was a kid playing youth football and basketball, just seeing me come up and they’ve been there every step of the way, even when I decided to come here. Some of them still decided to follow my journey and just be there with me every step of the way.”

Dave Caldwell's draft history with the Jaguars a mixed bag.
He's drafted four Pro Bowlers, but whiffed on 3 high first-round picks.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars general manager Dave Caldwell has hit the highs and lows of the NFL draft.
When the Jaguars pick at No. 7 overall in Thursday’s first round, the team is no doubt in hunt of a starter. That’s the expectation. But reliable starter has been the exception for the Jaguars in their 24-year draft history, and a mixed bag under Caldwell.
His draft history is certainly up for debate, especially at the top of the draft. Three of Caldwell’s six first-round picks (selection Nos. 2, 3 and 3) are no longer with the team.
But numbers alone don’t tell the entire story.
Caldwell has hit on several non-prime picks (outside of the first two rounds), starting with his second draft in 2014. He has picked four Pro Bowlers (defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, corner Jalen Ramsey, receiver Allen Robinson and linebacker Telvin Smith) while his predecessor, Gene Smith, didn't have one. The Jaguars hired Tom Coughlin in 2017 as executive vice president of football operations, so he's had input over the last two drafts.
Caldwell said that he views draft classes in their entirety — not just first-round picks — when considering what’s been good and bad.
“It’s a combination of those top 10 [pick] guys playing and the guys we’ve got in the second, third, fourth, fifth rounds that have become starters for us … kind of put the whole thing together,” he said.
First, the good, out of the non-prime draft spots.
Center Brandon Linder (third round) and linebacker Smith (fifth round) both came out of the 2014 draft. Guard AJ Cann has been a solid player (third round in 2015).
Third-round defensive end Yannick Ngakoue (2016) is one of the better young pass rushers in the league. Receiver Dede Westbrook (fourth round in 2017) and safety Ronnie Harrison (third round last year) are both on the incline of their careers.
It's the first-round misses what fans tend to remember.
Caldwell’s first three No. 1 picks, Luke Joeckel (offensive tackle at No. 2 in 2013), Blake Bortles (quarterback at No. 3 in 2014) and Dante Fowler (defensive end at No. 3 in 2015) were all underperformers for their lofty draft position.
Only Bortles earned a second contract from the team, a widely panned three-year, $54 million extension in February 2018 that included nearly $27 million in guaranteed money. Bortles was benched during the season and released after the Jaguars signed Nick Foles in free agency. The upside was that Bortles was the guy under center when the Jaguars reached he AFC championship game two seasons ago.
Joeckel played 39 games with the Jaguars and is now out of the league. Fowler tore his ACL in rookie minicamp and missed the whole season. He started one game with the Jaguars and finished with 13 sacks before the team dealt him to the Rams in midseason.
It’s too soon to label 2017 and ’18 first-rounders Leonard Fournette and Taven Bryan as anything more than works in progress. Fournette showcased flashes of dominance during his rookie year before an injury-marred 2018 season, and incidents that called his maturity into question. Bryan wasn’t much of an impact as a rookie, tallying 20 tackles and a sack.
Dave Caldwell draft picks.
A look at the NFL draft picks under general manager Dave Caldwell. An * indicates that player is no longer on the roster.
2018.
Round, Position, Player, Pick No.
1. DL Taven Bryan (29)
2. WR DJ Chark (61)
3. S Ronnie Harrison (93)
4. OL Will Richardson (129)
6. QB Tanner Lee (203)
7. LB Leon Jacobs (230)
7 P Logan Cooke (247)
Glance: Too early to make a projection on this class, although it was largely forgettable last year. Jacobs had three starts and played in 12 games as a rookie. Bryan was on the field, but didn’t make much of an impact. Harrison had 24 tackles, a sack and an interception before ending the season on injured reserve. Cooke ranked third in the league 37 punts downed inside the 20.
2017.
1. RB Leonard Fournette (4)
2. OL Cam Robinson (34)
3. DE Dawuane Smoot (68)
4. WR Dede Westbrook (110)
5. LB Blair Brown (148)
7. CB Jalen Myrick (222)*
7. FB Marquez Williams (240)*
Glance: This class still has a good bit of potential. Fournette looked the part early as a rookie, but has tailed off significantly since, and missed most of 2018 due to hamstring issues and a suspension. Robinson missed all but two games last year due to an ACL. Westbrook has developed into a solid No. 2 receiver.
2016.
1. CB Jalen Ramsey (5)
2. LB Myles Jack (36)
3. DE Yannick Ngakoue (69)
4. DT Sheldon Day (103)*
6. LB Tyrone Holmes (181)*
6. QB Brandon Allen (201)*
7. DE Jonathan Woodard (226)*
Glance: The best draft in the Caldwell Era delivered an elite pass rusher (Ngakoue), a first-round talent who fell to the second in Jack, and an All-Pro corner in Ramsey. Day was the only other member of this class to see the field in Jacksonville. He had 11 tackles over two seasons.
2015.
1. DE Dante Fowler (3)*
2. RB T.J. Yeldon (36)*
3. OG A.J. Cann (67)
4. S James Sample (104)*
5. WR Rashad Greene (139)*
6. DT Michael Bennett (180)*
7. WR Neal Sterling (220)*
7. TE Ben Koyack (229)
Glance: Fowler showed glimpses of being an electric pass rusher, but he was a major disappointment as the No. 3 overall pick in the draft. Yeldon produced in spurts, but he’s a free agent. Cann was the best pick to come out of this draft. The team re-signed him this offseason. Greene had flashes.
2014.
1. QB Blake Bortles (3)*
2. WR Marqise Lee (39)
2. WR Allen Robinson (61)*
3. C Brandon Linder (93)
4. DB Aaron Colvin (114)*
5. LB Telvin Smith (144)
5. DE Chris Smith (159)*
6. C Luke Bowanko (205)*
7. RB Storm Johnson (222)*
Glance: Take away Caldwell’s 2016 draft and this one ranks the second-best of his tenure. We all know about Bortles’ up-and-down five-year tenure with the team, a turnover-infested run that went to the AFC championship game, as well as a benching for Cody Kessler. Lee drew a second contract last year before ruining his knee in the preseason. Robinson was exceptional when he was here before leaving as a free agent. Linder signed a five-year extension in 2017 and has been solid when healthy. Smith was a steal in the fifth round and Colvin had 25 starts before striking it rich with the Texans as a free agent.
2013.
1. OT Luke Joeckel (2)*
2. S Johnathan Cyprien (33)*
3. DB Dwayne Gratz (64)*
4. WR Ace Sanders (101)*
5. WR Denard Robinson (135)*
6. DB Josh Evans (169)*
7. DB Jeremy Harris (208)*
7. DB Demetrius McCray (210)*
Glance: Caldwell’s first draft was the worst one. Joeckel broke his ankle during his first season and spent the remainder of his time in town playing both left and right tackle and left guard over his next four seasons. Not only was this class bad for the Jaguars, all of these players are out of the league.

Rickie Fowler’s honeymoon with Allison Stokke ended horribly.
Most Popular Today.
Rickie Fowler’s first few weeks as a newlywed didn’t exactly go as planned.
The 30-year-old golfer, who married girlfriend Allison Stokke last month, contracted a bacterial infection at the end of his honeymoon.
“It was not a fun stretch,” Fowler told Golfweek of his condition, Campylobacter jejuni, which includes symptoms typically associated with food poisoning, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Fowler and Stokke were married in Mexico and their honeymoon included trips to remote beaches.
Though Fowler started to feel better last week, he pulled out of the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico.
Fortunately for Fowler, he has Stokke, also 30, to keep him company. They tied the knot on Oct. 5.
